Introducing the new “Get on the Water!” message board!

The Club’s executive group is pleased to announce a new electronic forum for EYC members. The “Get on the Water!” site is a message board that will allow those who want to get on the water to communicate with those who have boats and who can provide time on the water. Conversely, if someone has a boat and is interested in taking others out sailing, they can communicate with those who would like to go out.

For example, if you’re new to sailing, you can post a message looking for skippers who have boats who can “show you the ropes” (this goes for those interested in racing too). If you’re a skipper needing crew, or if you’re willing to share some sailing time with others, simply post a message as to when and where, and interested Club members can reach out to you. It’s easy to arrange for a cruise out or just a sail around the Bay too.

It’s very simple to use: just click on the link below, then click on either “Looking for a Boat” or “Looking for Crew”. Post your request along with your contact info and that’s all there is to it. There are some sample posts to give you an idea of how to get started.

The site will also notify you via email if there are new posts or answers to your post – just click on the box near your email address.

This site is limited to Encinal Yacht Club members or to skippers and crew sailing in Encinal Yacht Club sponsored events. The site is open to sailboats AND power boats.
